Rocky Hill Woman Rescued In Apartment Fire

A Rocky Hill woman who was found unconscious was rescued from her smoky apartment.

ROCKY HILL, CT — An unconscious woman was rescued from a smoky apartment Tuesday morning, The Hartford Courant reported. Firefighters responded to the call at 963 Elms Common Drive shortly before 5 a.m.

They forced open the door of a fourth-floor apartment where the fire started and found the 68-year-old resident in the bathroom. Crews removed her, provided medical aid, then transported her to the hospital, according to The Hartford Courant.

The woman is expected to recover. Fire officials believe she was cooking when she had a medical issue.
