UPDATE: Rocky Hill Bank Robbery Suspect Photos Released
Police are hoping someone recognizes suspect of the robbery prompted a soft lockdown of a nearby elementary school and a day care center.

Rocky Hill Police have released photos of the man suspected of robbing the Cromwell Avenue Webster Bank branch Wednesday morning.
The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money in the robbery that occurred at 10:32 a.m., police said. The suspect was observed at around 10 a.m.. prior to the robbery in the area of both Webster Bank and Berkshire Bank.

Upon entering Webster Bank the suspect passed a bank savings slip with written instructions demanding money, police said.
At no time was a weapon shown or implied. After receiving money the suspect fled the bank on foot. Officers set up a perimeter and conducted a K9 track. Efforts to locate the suspect were unsuccessful.
As a precaution, West Hill Elementary School and day care facility were locked down and staffed with police personnel, police said.

Rocky Hill Police are looking for the man they say robbed the Webster Bank on Cromwell Avenue Wednesday morning, prompting the modified lockdown of the nearby West Hill Elementary School and a day care center.
Police said they responded to the 377 Cromwell Ave. bank, at 10:32 a.m. after someone activated a panic alarm after the man handed a teller a note that demanded money.
The man is described as being between five-foot-10 to six feet tall, weighing 230 to 250 pounds, with dark brown hair, brown eyes, scruffy facial hair and slight goatee, according to NBC Connecticut. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a long-sleeved black jacket with a gray lining.
