Teddy Bear Clinic To Reduce Anxiety During Medical Visits

Bring your child and his or her favorite stuffed animal to Velocity Urgent Care in Rocky Hill for this interactive, fun-filled clinic.

Kids ages 3-7 can have their teddy bears treated at the Teddy Bear Clinic on February 20, 2016.

The free event is Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Velocity Urgent Care, 396 Cromwell Ave, Rocky Hill, CT.

The Teddy Bear clinic provides a simulation of what it’s like to go to an urgent care clinic. Kids will take their stuffed animal through an on-site ambulance, bandaging, mock X-Rays, mock flu shots, and more. The exercise assists in reducing anxiety that sometimes accompanies a child’s visit to the doctor.
