2 Seriously Injured In Fiery 2-Vehicle Shelton Crash: Police

The crash occurred early Saturday in Shelton near River and Trolley Bridge roads.

SHELTON, CT — Two people suffered serious injuries early Saturday in a fiery two-vehicle crash in Shelton near River and Trolley Bridge roads, according to police.

Injured in the 3:45 a.m. crash were the drivers of the two vehicles, Shelton resident Anthony Odice, 29, and Stratford resident Reyner Rodriguez, 41.

One was able to get out of his vehicle, but the other had to be pulled from his vehicle, and both were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not available, but police said the injuries did not pose a threat to their lives.

Firefighters extinguished both vehicles, which had become engulfed in flames by the time emergency personnel arrived.

The crash remains under investigation by Shelton police.
