Amity Tops Shelton 2-1 With Walk-Off Win [Video]
The teams split season series one game apiece.
The Shelton and Amity girls softball teams played 5 1/2 innings of scoreless ball before Amity scored a run in the bottom half of the sixth.
In the top of the seventh, the Spartans were one strike away from victory and a 1-0 shutout when Shelton’s Brittany Lampert, who made a spectacular throw from centerfield to prevent a second Amity run from scoring in the bottom of the sixth, tripled and later scored the tying run on a wild throw.
In the bottom of the seventh Amity placed two runners on base with singles and then their third single of the inning plated the winning run.

Amity pitcher Taylor Baker had seven strikeouts and a complete game victory.
