Housing Rehab Program For Shelton Residents

Interest Free Home Improvement Loans to Qualifying Shelton Residents Funded by $300,000 State Grant

The City of Shelton has been awarded a $300,000 grant from the State of Connecticut to provide interest free loans to low and moderate income property owners to make needed renovations to their homes. 

Eligible repairs include septic improvements,
roof replacements, energy efficient upgrades, window replacements, remediation of lead or asbestos hazards, ADA modifications, code compliance improvements, and
general home improvements, etc. The loans are at 0% interest and are not due and payable until change of title or departure from home.

Landlords and homeowners are eligible to
apply. The City has hired Lisa Low & Associates, a local consulting firm, to assist in carrying out the renovation projects.
