Dump Truck Carrying Asphalt Rolls Over In Shelton: FD

Fire officials said the road was closed for nearly two hours as crews worked to right the truck and remove the asphalt from the roadway.

SHELTON, CT — A dump truck carrying asphalt rolled over Thursday morning in Shelton, closing a road for nearly two hours, according to the Shelton Fire Department.

In an email to Patch, Deputy Chief Paul Wilson said a tri-axle dump truck hauling asphalt tumbled onto its side just before 9 a.m. on Soundview Avenue.

No injuries were reported, according to Wilson.
