Joan Willoughby crashed her vehicle while driving on Route 8 in Shelton in August of last year, killing her 6-year-old daughter.

ANSONIA, CT — Joan Willoughby, the 37-year-old Ansonia woman involved in fatal crash last year, had a mix of various drugs in her system at the time of the collision that killed her six-year-old daughter, Nyah Marcano, reports the Connecticut Post.
The drugs in her system included morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphone, methadone and alprazalam, according to an arrest warrant affidavit. Willoughby told police that at least some of the drugs had been prescribed to her for nerve pain, the publication reports.
