AvalonBay's 'Radcliff Park' Taking Shape in Shelton

Construction of the new AvalonBay condominium complex, Radcliff Park, is reportedly underway at the 4.5 acre former site of the old asphalt plant on Canal Street in .

AvalonBay spokesperson Grant Jaber told the CT Post that construction crews are ready to go "vertical with the parking garage and the framing of the building" for the 250-unit complex.

Meanwhile one resident of the neighboring Birmingham condominiums complex told the CT Post that it was "awfully loud" in the neighborhood during construction hours.

Last June the Shelton Planning & Zoning Commission approved a request from AvalonBay from 445 spaces to 375 spaces.

Shelton's ambitious plan also includes the addition of numerous stores and restaurants on Canal Street.
