Eastbound Theatre, a division of Milford Arts Council (the MAC), will present “Hay Fever” by Noel Coward, September 11 - 26 at the MAC, 40 Railroad Avenue South,Milford. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm; Sunday matinees are at 2pm.Directed by CJ Nolan of Milford, this is a classic comedy about wealth and narcissism.  Set in an English country house, “Hay Fever” focuses on the four eccentric members of the Bliss family and their outlandish conduct when they each invite a guest to spend the weekend. The family's hilarious bad manners pushes all their guests to the edge.

You'll witness an incredible behind-the-scenes look at the entire process of creating the America250 float - from acceptance, design and construction through inspections, decorating, judging, transportation to the parade route, and ultimately the parade itself.Audience members will also have access to previously unseen video footage, as the story unfolds:&nbsp;more than 1,000 volunteers contributing over 7,000 volunteer hours to bring the float to life, in commemoration of our nation’s 250th anniversary!

The free program is co-sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Social Studies Council. The event will be the first of many lively conversation about America at 250 with some of our country’s leading history scholars. It is open to teachers throughout the Mid Hudson and Sound Shore communities as well as Fairfield County.
Professors David Blight, Frank Cogliano, Joanne Freeman and Beverly Gage will take the stage at the new Wachenheim Center to examine the history of the nation-state and the contested nature of American national identity. The panel will discuss what the United States and the Constitution have meant to citizens over time and how that vision has changed or stayed constant. &nbsp;The event is FREE but registration is required.
