SHELTON, CT — A sedan crashed into a parked car and then struck the corner of a home on Waverly Road in Shelton Monday night, before coming to rest wedged between the home and a pile of wood, according to fire officials.

The driver of the sedan did not appear to suffer injuries in the crash, which occurred just before 8 p.m., but was taken to an area hospital for evaluation as a precaution.

"Upon arrival of the first fire unit, a sedan was found in the rear yard, wedged between the home and a large wood pile," officials said in a post on Facebook (see below). "The vehicle had struck a parked car and hit the corner of the home. The sole occupant was still in the vehicle, conscious and had no signs of obvious injuries."
