Classes Canceled Friday At Shelton & Derby Public Schools

SHELTON & DERBY, CT — Shelton and Derby public schools will be closed on Friday, Feb. 4, due to inclement weather that swept through Connecticut overnight, district officials announced.

"Due to the uncertainty of road conditions at the time of travel for our students and staff based on the weather predictions, the Shelton Public Schools will be closed on Friday, February 4, 2022," wrote Shelton Schools Superintendent Ken Saranich on Twitter.

"Good morning Derby Family Due to the impending icy conditions Derby Public Schools will be closed today February 4, 2022," wrote Derby Schools Superintendent Matt Conway.
