Co-Author Of Famous Song Lyrics From Connecticut Has Died
A Shelton resident who co-authored famous song lyrics has died.

SHELTON, CT - The man who co-authored the famous lyrics to the song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" has died, CT Post reported. Musician Gary DeCarlo passed away this week at the age of 75 in Connecticut.
DeCarlo's passing was announced by a close friend who did not specify the exact date of his death, according to CT Post. The song had become a number one pop single in 1969 and became a taunt anthem after a Chicago White Sox organist began playing it when opposing pitchers were pulled from the game.
