You know what's on my mind? My kids. Their future. Their learning experiences. Their "education". Does anyone care? Is there anyone else out there as INFURIATED as I am about the common core academic standards? You know, the standards that were created by private organizations in Washington, D.C., without input from teachers or parents and absent any kind of study or pilot test to prove its effectiveness. It is a corporate/ government takeover of our education system that removes educational choices at the local level, and enslaves local schools to federal dollars. Apparently, whoever is FOR common core, thinks the government is doing a fantastic job right now, such a good job they should go ahead and take over local school systems. Our teachers are being turned into robots and our children are not far behind.
