Concerned About A Dangerous Street In Danbury? City Wants Your Input

A city-led workshop will gather public input on traffic, pedestrian safety and problem areas across Danbury.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury residents will have a chance to weigh in on traffic and roadway safety concerns during an upcoming virtual public workshop hosted by city officials.

The workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., and is part of an ongoing effort to improve safety for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists across the city.

City leaders are encouraging residents, commuters and business owners to share feedback on issues such as busy intersections, crosswalk safety and traffic flow.

According to Mayor Roberto Alves, roadway safety has been a major focus in recent years, with initiatives including increased traffic enforcement, safety grants, school bus camera programs and pedestrian improvements like rapid flashing beacons.
