Coronavirus Derby: City Experiences First Confirmed Case
A Derby resident tested positive for the new coronavirus.
DERBY, CT — The City of Derby had its first confirmed positive coronavirus case for a resident Monday.
The resident is in self-quarantine at home and individuals within the home will also be tested, said Derby Chief of Staff Andrew Baklik.
"This remains a rapidly evolving situation and with multiple different laboratories processing tests, the number of confirmed cases is more than likely to increase," Baklik said. "The City of Derby will continue to work with the Naugatuck Valley Health District and area hospitals to provide the most up to date information available. Please practice social distancing and stay home as much as you can."
