CT State Police Warn Of Possible 'Street Takeover' Event In Shelton

SHELTON, CT — Connecticut State Police are warning Shelton residents of a possible "street takeover" event planned for Saturday night.
According to state police, the event is anticipated to take place around 8 p.m. at 4 Research Dr.

A similar "street takeover" event happened in West Haven on Friday night and ended in the arrest of six people, police said.
According to West Haven police, four adults and two juveniles were arrested and charged after authorities received multiple 911 calls around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police said callers reported people standing in the road and doing donuts with their cars in the area of Boston Post Road and Campbell Avenue.

According to authorities, several individuals also threw fireworks at responding officers.
