Developers Propose Height Reduction for Planned Shelton Apartment Building

The Shelter Ridge development initially had been proposed at nine stories.

SHELTON, CT — Developers of the proposed Shelter Ridge mixed-use complex are looking to lower the height of apartment building, in a move to help sway the project's opponents.

Initially proposed at nine stories, the developers are now considering a four or five-story building, reports the Shelton Herald.

The height reduction also would decrease the number of units from 450 to 411. The proposed project's density was among the concerns of opponents, so the new plans help address that.
