Drugs, Gun Seized During Shelton Traffic Stop: PD
A convicted felon was caught with drugs and an unregistered firearm, police said.
SHELTON, CT — Officers made a drug arrested after a motor vehicle stop Feb. 24, according to police.
An officer pulled the vehicle over after it went through a red light on Bridgeport Avenue. The vehicle wasn't registered or insured and driver Ramon Capacete, 35, of Seymour didn't have a driver's license, police said.
A K-9 search found 33 grams of cocaine and 5.5 grams of marijuana along with an unlicensed semi automatic .380 pistol, according to police. Capacete is a convicted felon who isn't allowed to possess a firearm.

He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, possession of narcotics with intent to sell and motor vehicle charges. He was held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
