Flowers Banned at Shelton Dance Over Allergy Concerns
The dance at Shelton Intermediate School is for eighth graders.

Students going to the Shelton Intermediate School Cotillion on Friday will not be allowed to bring flowers, according to a message posted on social media by Housemaster Dina Marks.

According to NBC Connecticut, Headmaster Kennet D. Saranich said in a statement that students bringing flowers will not be allowed at the dance. The reason for the ban is medical concerns associated with allergies.
The dance is for eighth-graders.
