“Growing Your Family Tree” Genealogy Workshop

On Saturday, March 22, 2014 the
Sarah Riggs Humphreys-Mary Silliman Chapter of the Daughters of the American
Revolution (SRH-MS, DAR) is sponsoring two genealogy workshops “Growing Your
Family Tree” at the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, 7 Fan Hill Rd, Monroe, CT.

The morning presentation, “Growing
your Family Tree One Branch at a Time” with a few pointers to help you find
your immigrant ancestors, will begin at 10am and end at 11:30. 


The afternoon presentations will
show you how to use two free genealogy sites: Heritage Quest at 12:30 and
FamilySearch at 1:30-2:15.

Guest speaker is Jolene Mullen, a
professional genealogist who is also National DAR Chair Lineage Research
Committee, CT DAR Organizing Secretary, and a member of the Connecticut
Professional Genealogist Council.

The workshop is free, open to the
public, but pre-registration is required.
