Long Hill Elementary in Shelton to Get Second Set of Doors
Addressing security concerns, the mayor said there would be a second set of doors.

Long Hill Elementary School in Shelton will get a second set of doors to address security concerns, the Shelton Herald reports.
Family members of Long Hill students spoke at the March 12 Board of Aldermen meeting saying how a second set of doors with locks and a card reader would be crucial during an emergency.
Mayor Mark Lauretti told the family members he had been at the school earlier with the superintendent and the architect overseeing the project and the school would get the doors, the paper reports. Previous plans for security improvement at the school had been different from those at Mohegan and Elizabeth Shelton School due to the design of Long Hill.
