Police said a dispute between neighbors over snow removal led to a fight involving a gun in Derby.
DERBY, CT — A dispute between neighbors over snow removal led to a fight involving a gun Monday in Derby, according to the Derby Police Department.
In a news release, police said officers were called to the area of Olivia Street after receiving a report of a fight involving a firearm stemming from a dispute between neighbors over snow removal.
When officers arrived in the area, they conducted an investigation and interviewed multiple witnesses, police said.

According to police, witnesses reported Nekee Dickson, 46, of Derby, produced a firearm and pointed it at another person during a verbal argument.
Video evidence obtained by officers during their investigation confirmed the witness statements, according to police.

Although Dickson possessed a valid pistol permit, the investigation determined he was the aggressor in the incident, police said.
The firearm involved in the incident was seized by police, according to police.
Dickson was charged with breach of peace and first-degree reckless endangerment.
"The Derby Police Department reminds all residents to remain patient and respectful with one another," police said in a news release, "particularly as we collectively navigate snow removal challenges and limited on-street parking during winter weather."
