Man Charged In Armed Robbery In Downtown Shelton: Police
Police also discovered an after-hours bar was being illegally operated in a basement apartment in Shelton and shut it down.

SHELTON, CT — A Bridgeport man accused of robbing another man at gunpoint in downtown Shelton was arrested Tuesday, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky said Marquise King, 29, of Bridgeport, was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and criminal possession of a firearm.
According to Kozlowsky, the arrest stems from an October incident in which a man reported being approached by two people with guns after leaving an after-hours bar in downtown Shelton.

Police also discovered the after-hours bar was being illegally operated in a basement apartment on Howe Avenue and later shut it down, Kozlowsky said.
Kozlowsky also noted both the robbery and the after-hours club are still under investigation.
King was held on a $250,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in court this week, according to Kozlowsky.
