Man Hospitalized After Fall Off Inner Tube
The incident occurred on Saturday, May 31, on the Housatonic River in Shelton.
A man was tubing on the Housatonic River sometime during the afternoon of Saturday, May 31, when he fell off the inner tube, according to NBC Connecticut.
Paul Wilson, assistant fire chief with the Shelton Fire Department, was quoted in the NBC Connecticut article as saying the man suffered from a cardiac-related issue in the water.
The man was reportedly sent to a nearby hospital after he was taken out of the river. Wilson was quoted in the New Haven Register as saying the tube was towed by a Jet Ski and that the man is on the mend.

In August 2012, a man broke his leg while tubing on the Housatonic River, also in Shelton. He was reportedly being towed by a boat when his leg slipped into the lake and sustained a fracture.
