Motorcyclist From Shelton Killed In Crash

A collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle left a Shelton man dead Friday evening, according to police.

SHELTON, CT — A Shelton man was killed in a crash Friday evening involving a motorcycle and another vehicle, according to police.

Around 7 p.m., police, fire and EMS were dispatched to the crash, in the area of 137 Meadow Street. Preliminary investigation revealed the motorcycle operator was traveling southbound towards Shelton Avenue, and the vehicle driver was traveling northbound, police said.

The motorcycle operator was identified as Robert Kimmer, 43, who was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead. The operator of the vehicle, Andrew Zebendon, 34, of Shelton, was not injured, police said.

The Shelton Police Traffic Division Reconstruction Team is investigating the collision. No charges have yet been filed, police said.
