Nearly 100 Total Coronavirus Deaths Reported In Shelton
Shelton has 99 confirmed or probable coronavirus deaths, according to the state Department of Health.
SHELTON, CT — There are more than 1,000 lab-confirmed coronavirus cases in the Naugatuck Valley as of Friday. There have been 1,084 cases along with 528 negative test results.
About 27 percent of the cases are among people who reside in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other similar facilities, according to the Naugatuck Valley Health District. Of the 289 nursing-home related Valley cases there have been 103 deaths. Overall there have been 114 confirmed coronavirus-related deaths and 19 probable coronavirus-related deaths in the Valley.
Five Shelton residents and one Ansonia resident died on April 28. A Shelton resident and a Seymour resident died April 29.
