
The Shelton education budget approved for the next fiscal year will mean there will be six or seven fewer positions in the system, the Shelton Herald reports.
According to the paper, there will be one teacher layoff at Shelton Intermediate School.
The $69.47 million budget includes $125,000 from the city for operating costs, the paper reports. If the amount from the city doesn’t materialize, additional spending cuts will be needed.
