Police: Shelton Man Failed to Register as Sex Offender

The man was arrested on the various charges against him.

A Shelton man was arrested on Tuesday for various charges including failure to register as a non-violent sex offender.

Police observed Joel Bullock, 31, of Walnut Tree Hill Road exiting a vehicle on April 28.

According to police, Bullock was wanted on a warrant of second-degree failure to appear and a second warrant held by the Derby Police Department for three counts of failure to register as a non-violent sex offender.

Bullock was searched incident to custodial arrest and found to be in possession of narcotics not prescribed to him. He was additionally charged with illegal possession of narcotics.

Bullock posted a $2,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on May 12 for the Shelton charges.

He was then turned over to the Derby Police Department.
