Preview of 'Romeo & Juliet: Choose Your Own Ending'

Valley Shakespeare Festival will present a raucous and irreverent adaptation of Shakespeare's classic.

Shelton, CT - The Valley Shakespeare Festival is the Valley's only nonprofit professional theater company that is currently entering their sixth year. The group is dedicated to bringing free and low cost theater to the communities of the lower Naugatuck Valley and they perform in various locations around the Valley in diversified formats.

Valley Shakespeare Festival offers a spring Tour Program. This spring they will be presenting a production of 'Macbeth.' 'Shakespeare in the Bar' is presented twice a year, once in the winter, and again in the fall. In addition, a free summer outdoor full production runs for four performances in Shelton's Veterans Memorial-Riverwalk Park. This summer Thornton Wilder's "Our Town" will run July 12 - 15.

What if Romeo had stayed helplessly in love with Rosaline, instead of Juliet? What if Mercutio and Tybalt hadn't died--but got together instead? You, the audience VOTE on eight possible endings to see how everything works out! Don't miss this IRREVERENT comedy...tragedy...?

The show is a script-in-hand performance and will take place on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018 at Tavern 1757 at 318 Roosevelt Drive in Seymour. Doors open at 6:00pm for food and beverage service, and the performance begins at 7:00pm. The performance is nearly sold out so don't wait to get your tickets.
