Proposed Shelter Ridge Development Requires Another Public Hearing

The 121-acre mixed-use project in Shelton has drawn a fair amount of opposition.

SHELTON, CT - The proposed Shelter Ridge mixed-use development in Shelton already has drawn a lot of public comment, but even after three public hearings a fourth one is needed.

This week's hearing was not enough to get through all of the speakers concerning the planned 121-acre complex on Bridgeport Avenue and Mill Street, reports the Connecticut Post.

Many of the speakers during the first three hearings have opposed the plan, critical of its size and potential impact on traffic in the area.
