Relay for Life Benefit is Saturday, May 30

Nine local bands, Irish dancers, face painters and volunteers will rally together on Saturday, May 30 to benefit the combined Bethel/Danbury/Brookfield/Redding Relay for Life. A ukulele with carrying case, gift cards from local businesses, gift baskets and more will be raffled off to benefit Wendy’s Warriors Relay for Life team.

Wendy is a 45-year-old mother of three who was recently diagnosed with Metaplastic Carcinoma, a very rare and aggressive type of cancer that only occurs in one percent of women compared to the other types which occurs in eighty percent.

The all-day benefit concert takes place on Saturday, May 30 from 12-9 p.m., rain or shine, at Greenwood’s Grille, 186 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Conn.
