Residents Vow New Fight Against Proposed Shelton Apartment Complex: Report
The project is slated for Bridgeport Avenue and Long Hill Cross Road.

SHELTON, CT — A proposal to build a 145-unit apartment complex and mixed-use development on Bridgeport Avenue and Long Hill Cross Road in Shelton is being met with resistance from residents, reports the Shelton Herald.
The grassroots group Save Our Shelton, which opposed the Planning and Zoning Commission-approved Shelter Ridge development, has vowed to fight this new proposal, which is slated for a 17-acre parcel. In addition to the apartments, the proposal also includes plans for a 112-room hotel and commercial retail space.
A public hearing is scheduled for March 22 in Shelton City Hall to continue discussions on the proposed plan.
