Shelton Book Store to Host 'Family Day' Sept. 21
Eight Connecticut authors will converge upon Written Words Book Store to sign copies of their latest books at their Family Day event.
Written Words Book Store is hosting “Family Day” on Sunday, Sept. 21 with guest authors, crafts and more. Eight Connecticut authors will be signing books (must be purchased at the event).
Here is what they have planned (information is from Written Words Book Store Facebook page):
Author Javier Robayo: Javier immigrated to the United States in 1988 and began writing as a way to learn English as a freshman in high school. An avid blogger and storyteller, he has published several short stories and full-length novels and is currently working on his next book. The super talented JeriAnn Geller from Face Time will once again be here to provide her face painting services!

Author Amanda Marrone: Amanda grew up on Long Island where she spent her time reading, drawing, watching insects, and suffering from an overactive imagination. She has published several young adult books and a middle grader series, all through Simon & Schuster
Author Dana Romanello-Flynn: Dana is a teacher, a mother of two young children, and a daughter supporting her mother through pancreatic cancer. Through her experience, she created a children’s book that looks at the day-to-day life of the child of a parent with cancer, and presents information in a way that welcomes the child to be a part of their parent’s journey instead of fearing it.

Author Robin Cannon: Robin has been a teacher for twenty nine years and has degrees from Fordham University and Southern Connecticut State University. Her novel “Tilly Fig” was largely written on her travels throughout Europe.
