Shelton Doctor's Appeal Denied Over License Revocation: Report
Surgeon Nami Bayan sought a reversal of the state decision to revoke his medical license.
SHELTON, CT — A former Shelton surgeon, whose medical license recently was revoked by the state, had his request for reconsideration of the revocation denied by the state Medical Examining Board, Connecticut Health I-Team reported.
Dr. Nami Bayan, who formerly worked at H & B Quality Medical Care in Shelton, had his medical license revoked after the state said he did not comply with an order to attend mental health therapy sessions.
Bayan had been ordered to attend the sessions after the state said he had displayed concerning mental behavior.

The board unanimously voted not to reconsider the medical ban, though Bayan reportedly can apply for reinstatement if he attends therapy sessions and proves he is mentally fit.
