Shelton Economic Development Corp. Names New President

Most recently, Paul Grimmer served as the Executive Director for the Orange Economic Development Corp.

SHELTON, CT - Paul Grimmer, a local resident, has been named the new President of the Shelton Economic Development Corp., the organization's Chairman, William Partington, announced Monday.

“Paul is well suited with his significant economic development and grants experience and his successful run as Executive Director for the Town of Orange’s Economic Development Corporation,” said Partington in a statement, adding that Grimmer's familiarity with the city and the Valley area will be an asset. "His knowledge of the functions of a non-profit development corporation and the ability to work with a volunteer board of directors is another real strength Paul has in his toolkit.”

Grimmer will take over the role from Jimmy Ryan, who is retiring in early August. Initially, Grimmer will serve as vice president when he begins in May and will assume the presidency the day after Ryan's official retirement.
