Shelton High School Cancer Benefit Nets $6K
Proceeds went to support the Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness.

Shelton High School’s recent “The Valley Goes Pink” benefit raised about $6,000 to support The Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness.
An article at the Valley Independent Sentinel said the students held fundraisers throughout October, which was National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Students sold T-shirts, pink ribbon pins and other items during lunch periods.

One highlight of the Oct. 30 pep rally was having Headmaster Beth A. Smith covered in whipped cream and chocolate syrup, the Sentinel reported.
