Shelton High School Student Dies Unexpectedly
Jonathan Sabo died Thursday night, according to the district.

SHELTON, CT — Shelton High School student Jonathan Sabo died unexpectedly Thursday night, according to Superintendent of Schools Chris Clouet.
"With deep sorrow I must communicate to the community that a well-liked student at SHS, Jonathan Sabo, passed away last night," Clouet wrote on the district's website. "His untimely death is a family tragedy first and foremost, and it is a shock to his friends and the entire school community --as well as all of Shelton.
"We need to support the Sabo family and all of our students at this most difficult time."

Details surrounding Sabo's death were not disclosed, but as a result, the school postponed sports games scheduled for Friday, Sept. 30.
All SHS athletic contests scheduled for today have been postponed. Check the athletic website for reschedule times.

The Shelton American Little League program, for which Sabo played, also expressed the organization's sorrow at his passing.
