Shelton Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash In Seymour: State Police
The crash occurred at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday on Route 8.
SEYMOUR, CT — A 31-year-old Shelton man was killed early Tuesday when he was thrown from the motorcycle he was operating after it veered off Route 8 in Seymour, according to Connecticut State Police.
Andrew Chapin was taken by ambulance to Waterbury Emergency Hospital following the 8 a.m. crash, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
State police said Chapin was traveling in the left lane northbound on a Kawasaki motorcycle when the bike veered off the road toward the right shoulder of the road near Exit 21.

"The weather was clear, the road was dry, and traffic volume was light and moving at a steady flow," state police said in a statement.
