Shelton Mayor Lauretti Raises $145k for Gubernatorial Run

The money was raised with donations that were $100 or less.

SHELTON, CT — Longtime Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti raised more than $145,000 as he seeks the governor's position in 2018.

Lauretti, a Republican, was limited to individual contributions of $100 or less as part of a bid to gain public financing, according to the Connecticut Mirror.

Lauretti's funds were raised between April 1 and June 30, according to the Shelton Herald. He previously ran in 2014 and raised $100,000, but didn't get enough votes at the GOP convention to qualify for the primary.
