Shelton Nurse Disciplined By State: Report
The nurse is one of among eight nurses who were disciplined last week by the state Board of Examiners for Nursing.

SHELTON, CT — Amanda Alarcon, a registered nurse from Shelton, had her license placed on probation for four years for drug offenses, according to the state Board of Examiners for Nursing, reports the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Alarcon reportedly abused heroin from 2011 to 2014, and she is now receiving substance abuse treatment, writes I-Team's Kate Farrish.
A total of eight nurses were disciplined by the board last week, all but one for various drug offenses. The eighth person, former nurse Lisa Fabrizio of Monroe, had her license revoked following accusations that she stole and pawned jewelry from patients.
