Shelton Nursing Home Fined For Touching Incidents: Report

The state Department of Public Health recently fined the nursing home after a resident inappropriately touched others at the facility.

SHELTON, CT — Hewitt Health & Rehabilitation Center in Shelton has been fined $3,800 by the state Department of Public Health after a resident inappropriately touched two other residents and a nurse aide at the facility, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.

Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports the incidents took place on three separate dates and the resident was taken to a hospital each time, but documents failed to show that supervision was increased when the resident returned to the facility.
