Shelton Republican Gathers Signatures For Ballot Spot

A Republican gathered enough signatures to get his name on the ballot in November.

SHELTON, CT — Another Republican will be on the ballot come November for a spot on the Planning and Zoning Board.

Mark Widomski with the help of Save Our Shelton gathered more than 400 signatures so he can put his name on the Ballot, according to the Shelton Herald. He wasn't nominated at the Republican Town Committee meeting.

Widomski said he is a supporter of responsible development in town and no a fan of spot zoning.
