The boys basketball team suffered a 69-48 loss to undefeated Fairfield Prep on Tuesday night in Fairfield.
The Gaels dropped to 1-2 while the Jesuits improved to 3-0.

Terry Tarpey had another dominating game for Prep with 18 points, 14 rebounds and six blocks Ryan Blake scored 12 points and Tim Butala added 10 for the Jesuits.
David Moreland scored 13 points and Christian Pierre added 10 for Shelton.

Fairfield Prep took control early, building a 20-9 lead after the first quarter and extending its edge to 36-19 at the half.

The Shelton girls basketball team suffered a 50-36 loss to undefeated West Haven.
Jayva Johnson poured in 22 points for the Blue Devils, who improved to 5-0 after overcoming a slow start in which 13-8 after the first period and 22-18 at the half.
However, West Haven outscored Shelton 34-14 in the second half to pull away. The Blue Devils took a 33-28 lead into the final period.
Nicole Beard scored 13 points to lead the Gaelettes, who dropped to 1-3.
