The boys basketball team dropped a 58-46 decision to Lyman Hall on Thursday.

It was the third straight loss for the Gaels, who fell to 1-3 after winning their season opener against West Haven.

Ryan Testani scored 10 points and Ben Malay and David Moreland each added nine for Shelton.

Nicole Beard scored 17 points and Kelsy Pendagast added 14 to lead the Shelton girls basketball team to a 53-45 victory over Lyman Hall on Thursday.

Brittany Lampert added 10 points for the Gaelettes, who jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the first quarter.

Lyman Hall closed within 23-19 at the half but Shelton extended its margin to 38-25 after three quarters.

Shelton improved to 2-3 while Lyman Hall dropped to 0-5.

Olivia Sutherland scored 14 points and Taylor Mierzejewski added 10 to pace Lyman Hall.
