Last Friday, East Haven's Michael Vessicchio hit a halfcourt shot at the buzzer to hand the Gaels a 61-58 defeat. The loss dropped Shelton to 3-5.
Guilford is 2-5 and has been drubbed in its last two games. Last Friday, the Indians suffered a 74-34 defeat to Fairfield Prep, which followed a 60-33 setback to second-ranked Hillhouse.

Guilford's only victories have come against winless Law and non-league Whitney Tech.
The Shelton girls basketball team, which climbed over .500 at 5-4 with Friday's 50-41 victory against Amity, is home on Tuesday against Foran.
Kelsey Pendagast scored 19 points for the Gaelettes in their win over the Spartans.
