Jasmin Rodriguez scored 25 points, leading the Foran girls basketball team to a 53-42 win over on Tuesday.

Lauren McCone scored 15 points and Kelsey Pendagast added 10 for the Gaelettes, who dropped to 5-5 at the midpoint of the season.

Foran built a 14-8 first-quarter lead and maintained a 28-22 edge at halftime.

However, the Lions put away the victory by outscoring Shelton 15-6 in the third period to take a 43-28 cushion into the final quarter.

Christian Pierre and David Moreland each scored 19 points Tuesday as the Shelton boys basketball team posted a 55-53 victory over Guilford.

Kyle Packnick added 13 for the Gaels, who climbed back to .500 at 4-4 after suffering a last-second 61-58 loss to East Haven.

Shelton built a 36-29 hafltime, but Guilford outscored the Gaels 15-8 in the third period to tie the contest at 44-44.

Ted Jensen scored 19 points and Nick Moretti added 15 for the Indians, who dropped to 2-6.

The Shelton boys swimming team dropped a 93-77 decision to Lyman Hall on Tuesday.
