The girls basketball team dropped a tough 47-45 decision at Sheehan on Thursday.

The Gaelettes (5-6) held a 45-43 in the final minute, but the Titans tied it on a pair of free throws with 30 seconds left, then won it on Kelsey Duran's basketball with under five seconds remaining.

Joelle MarcAnthony and Sam Smith scored 10 points apiece to lead Sheehan.

Kelsey Pendagast had 15 points to pace Shelton, which took a 36-30 lead into the final period.
