The boys basketball tream suffered a 74-62 loss to Sheehan on Friday.

Garry Lancaster scored 15 points and Justin McDonald added 13 for the Titans, who improved to 4-6.

A.J. Pascuzzo and Brian Murphy each chipped in with a dozen for Sheehan, which had four players in double figures.

Christian Pierre scored 11 points to pace the Gaels, who slipped to 4-6.

Sheehan took control early, building a 25-13 lead after the first quarter and maintaining a 39-26 edge at the intermission.

The Titans then extended their margin to 62-39 after the third period.

Sean Gallagher had a three-point game as Trumbull defeated the Staples-Weston Shelton boys hockey team 4-2 Saturday afternoon at the Milford Ice Pavilion.

Gallagher registered two goals and an assist for the Eagles, who improved to 6-2. The Wreckers suffered their first loss of the season and dropped to 5-1.

Wyatt Fern scored early in the first period to give S-W-S a 1-0 lead, but A.J. Dimasi and Brendan Strobel scored a minute apart to give the Eagles a 2-1 lead early in the second period.

Forest Savage scored for the Wreckers with three minutes left in the second to tie it, but Gallagher sealed it for the Eagles by scoring twice in the final period.

Christopher Sarosky needed to make only 12 saves for Trumbull while Riley MacDonald stopped 29 shots for the Wreckers.
