The girls basketball team won its second straight game against a winless opponent, defeating North Haven 49-32 on Friday.
Kelly Pendagast scored 14 points for the Lady Gaelettes, who defeated winless Lyman Hall in their previous contests.

The two wins have allowed Shelton to reach the .500 mark at 7-7, leaving the Gaelettes one victory away from clinching a berth in the state tournament.

The Gaelettes took a 13-6 lead after the first quarter, then led 22-15 at the half after an even second quarter.
However, Shelton put away the Indians with a 13-5 spurt in the third quarter to take a 35-20 cushion into the final quarter.

The Shelton boys basketball team suffered its fourth straight loss Friday with a 62-37 defeat to Lyman Hall.
Christian Pierre had 21 points for the Gaels, who dropped to 4-9. No other player had more than six points for Shelton.
Jack McCarthy had 23 points and Kyle Upton added 12 for Lyman Hall, which cruised after building a 20-5 first-quarter lead.
